The SFX9 isn't necessarily comparable to anything Baer has and isn't really a 1911, although it looks like a good gun. It's like comparing a Glock 19 to a single stack gun. A better question to ask is Valor or Les Baer. Wilson guns don't compete with guns in the Valor/Les Baer class point for point, generally speaking. The Wilsons are significantly more refined - but you can't go wrong with a Valor.You'd probably be satisfied with a Dan Wesson or even with a Springfield or Kimber to an extend if your purpose is to go out a great time at the range couple of times a year. I'd just say put out the list of things you want to do with the pistol then look for the right tool for the job. You'll quickly gravitate towards a Wilson.

The STI Trojan is really nice, but seems to be slightly lower end than the DW Valor or Springfield TRP due to cast frame and internals.
