Jan 21, 2018 · I ended up getting a Ruger Security-9 to go with my PC Carbine. Took it out yesterday and after 2 mags I starting having problems! 1. Last round hold back would not work on 1 of the mags, not that big of a deal. 2. When slide is locked to the back and I insert a full mag the slide lock will not disengage when pulling back on slide and releasing. Proper Gun Weight – Score: 10. Everything looks good on this gun-----Except it will only group about 4-5" at 20 yards. I have tried all sorts of ammo and not have any change in accuracy. The very first time at the range, the trigger froze up, locked up, tight after only 17 rounds of Fiocchi. Sent it in to Ruger and got it back a week later with a new trigger, springs, etc.I recently bought my wife a Ruger Security-9 for protection. When I first inspected it, I found it was really hard to get the slide stop to set, but was told it would loosen up with firing, and slingshot worked fine. Took it home, disassembled, cleaned, and lubed it. Took it to my range and put 36 rounds of FMJ through the two mags that came with it. The pistol had 4 major problems.
