It was -12° this morning, now 1° which I believe is going to be our high for the day. The ice is very inconsistent, I drilled 10 holes, found from 6"-2" so we definitely need some time. Most of the lake was open five days ago.

Tried the government, but way too much wind that made it not fun fishing, so we found a kinda sheltered pretty shallow shoreline and missed 3 fish before landing 3 pike. It's fun figuring out a new area that holds fish that goes against the grain of typical "rules".
