No major, recurring issues with the first generation of L5P trucks. One of the most common is the coolant tank sensor going bad. Another thing that owners have noticed is the TMAP sensor getting caked with soot and causing other issues. Other than that it's a solid platform and highly recommended.To fit a 35" tire you will need to come up 3.5" and do minor trimming of the plastic front valance. You can do a level lift like Rough Country and Super Lift and turn up the keys and 35s will clear provided you don't go to negative on offset. I don't recommend a leveling kit or cranking the keys because it will ride like a fat girl on a moped.

Easy enough, but for anyone doing it, don’t take the shield with the housing. All you need to do are the two 13mm bolts at the back, top/side. You’ll understand when you look at it. This will help you see the specific code when it happens and have the ability to clear it when needed. The L5P has so many sensors on it that you can monitor absolutely everything without needing any additional probes.
